FAMILY LAW EXPERIENCE
Mr. Rush devotes the majority of his legal practice to representing clients in all areas of family law throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Such family law matters include divorce, child custody and visitation disputes, alimony and child support issues, division of assets and debts, post-judgment enforcement and modification, domestic violence matters, and the preparation of pre-nuptial agreements.
Mr. Rush has significant experience handling complex matrimonial cases involving high-income parties and high-value assets, including family business ownerships, partnerships, professional practices, multiple real estate interests, pensions, profit-sharing plans, and stock options. He is also well versed in handling complex child custody issues involving changes in custody or contested custody, parental alienation, and child relocation.
In custody matters, Mr. Rush has obtained numerous judgments awarding or transferring primary custody of children to his clients, while also prohibiting various acts of parental alienation or compelling parties to undergo mental health treatment prior to exercising further visitation rights. In 2016, Mr. Rush successfully litigated a difficult custody case that originated in New Jersey and was later transferred to Pennsylvania where he ultimately obtained a Court Order transferring primary physical custody of a 9-year old child to the child’s mother. In 2015, Mr. Rush successfully obtained a Court Order in another custody case transferring primary physical custody of an 11-year old child to a foster father located in South Carolina away from the child’s mother in Pennsylvania.
